A House Mouse graduation-card

Todays card is a graduation-card, which explains all the yellow and blue (the Swedish flag). It’s made to be sold and don’t have a preconsidered receiver and lacks dates and years because of it.

All the papers are from Maja Design’s summer collection and i did distress the pleaded paper a tiny bit with faded jeans. All the papers have been doodled around and the edges have been painted black. I have done the layout after this weeks Saturday Sketch Challenge (see the picture at the bottom-down to the right).

The image is from my House Mouse Birthday: Balloon set and using the stamp Pop-ular fun. I Have colored my lovely mice with promarker trying to keep a soft color scheme. I did not have a soft blue so i used my midnight blue witch a picked up color from with my blender-pen. As adding a bit texture and depth into the image i stamped Hero Arts background-stamp Happy definitions in Antique Linen.

The flowers are made by Fiskar’s Retro Flower Medium and flower power punches, using the same paper as the rest of the card and a soft yellow pearl as centerpiece. I kept going with the same pearls as embellishments on the outside. The ribbon is regular satin ribbon in two different colors and sizes.

I made the inside using the same background paper and i did the Happy definitions on the Greeting space, light enough tpo give depth and still do’t disturb the message that will be put into it.

Green and yellow Sleeping in the Crocus

This card is for mu aunt that will lend me her house during my mini vacation this week. As a thanks you she and her family will get this card and a small surprise.

The card is inspired by this weeks House Mouse Monday Challenge no 96 – Love for the game and the theme is either football or green and yellow so i choose to make a card in the theme of Green and Yellow.  The paper is Basic Grey’s Origins and the image is House Mouse’s Sleeping in the Crocus. The picture is colored with promarkers. I have hand-stitched the image to the frame with a light brown embroiderythread.

The inside is made by using the same paper and the same idea as the front. The greeting on the frame is from Gina K’s fanciful tags.

Green Penny Black

This is the result from yesterdays craft-session with my sister and her friends. The layout is from this weeks Mojo Monday (#187). The image is one from Penny Black’s clearstamp set Piece of my heart, and as usually it’s colored with promarkers. The word ”smile” on the images tag is a part of a sentence from House Mouse’s set Birthday: Ice cream. And the text in the left bottom corner is from Penny Black Critter Party and the ”just for you” on the tags, that is the Quickutz die tags, is from Hero Arts Warm wishes. The border is made with Martha Stewart’s borderpunch Modern Garland. The papers are from Maja designs collection ”Ska vi ta en fika”. The white paper have been dry embossed with provocrafts swiss dots embossingfolder. The other decorations are just light green pearls and dark green brads. Im also entering this card into the Simon says challenge – emboss it again sense in really happy with the card and the I love Promarker (#62) Anything goes.

House Mouse Birthday-Spring-Card

Todays card is a birthday card for my sister that turns 23 in the beginning of next week.. I don’t think this is the colors i associate with her but i stared with a pink cupcake-holder then i just became this pink…

The image is House Mouse Birthday Cupcake that is a part of the Birthday: Ice Cream-set. The little mouse with the cheese-gift, on the inside of the card, is from the same stamp-set. The images is colored with promarkers and i’m really happy with the result on the cupcake (gold, apricot and pastel yellow). On the frosting on the cupcake i have used my snowmarker, very thin layer, and then i painted on some Magenta sticklers. I use a brush to paint the stickles so i could get a thin layer and exactly were I wanted it. You can see the dimension and the frosting better in the picture to the right. The sentiment is a Penny Black stamp from the Critter Party-set. I stamped it with Versa Colors 15 Magenta. 184 Misty Mauve and 13 Orange to match the colors on the paper that is from Crate Papers collection Pink Plum. I have tried to keep the color-scheme on the inside.

All papers and stamped areas have been distressed with Worn Lipstick and the fabric butterflies have also been distressed with Worn Lipstick and some Spiced Marmelade. The butterflies had a to strong colors so i used the backside up to just get a hint of the original color that i then altered with distress inks. I just stapled on the butterflies with a regular staple-machine. The background paper and the white paper have been dry embossed with provocrafts embossingfolders. On the background i used Victorian and on the white paper i used swiss dots. The border under the ribbon is made by Martha Stewart’s border punch modern garland. The buttons is from old clothing and have been embellished with some multicolored pink thread.

The Layout form this card i got from this weeks Sweet Stop Challenge (SSS104). And due to nice circumstances I’m also entering this card for a couple of more challenges.

Basic Grey and House Mouse birthday

This card is made for my friend Kristoffer and his birthday this weekend. The inspirations for the card I got from Basic Greys Challenge and House Mouse Challenge for this week. The Layout is from the House Mouse one and the Basic Grey challenge is ”more then one fold” so i decided to make an Easel-Card. All the papers are Basic Greys Pyrus and the stamp is from House Mouse set Birthday: Ice Cream and the stamp Birthday Cupcake. The image is colored with both Promarkers and Copic and the frosting is coated with some glossy accent that have been sprinkled with a bit off black embossingpowder. I tried to find something good as sprinkles but couldn’t find anything suitable and embossingpowder was the best i could come up with (too late I realized that i could have used some of my brown flocking, but maybe next time). I embellished the card by putting in eyelets in the corners of the cardfront and the image and threaded a rounded ribbon through them. Due to the fact that this cardfront is mounted on an Easel-card i just taped down the ends in the bottom half and I did a knot with a piece sticking out on the top half were you can see the backside of the card. I keep  going with the ribbons on bottom part of the card but on the right side i did a visible knot. All the papers are roughed and distressed with vintage Photo. The Image is also distressed with vintage photo and i added some faded jeans. The black embellishments are rubb-ons that i cut into small pieces.

Dagens kort är inspirerat av veckans House Mouse och Basic Greys utmaningar. Basic Grey vill se olika typer av vikningar och House Mouse har en layout (se höger). Stämpeln är som används är Birthday Cupcake från House Mouse set Birthday: Ice Cream. Jag har färglagdt med promarkers och Copics och frostingen är täckt med Glossy Accent och lite svart embossingpulver. För dekoration på kortet har jag valt att fästa eylets och dra igenom ett brunt, runt band. På den övre halvan av kortfronten har jag gjort knutar som syns och på den undre sidan har jag bara tejpat fast bandet då det döljs av Easel konstruktionen.

Maskulint House Mouse

Här kommer ett litet kort till min kära far igen för allt stöd och all hjälp jag får av honom, med allt, i vått och torrt. Tanken är att kortet skall kompletteras med en liten ostbricka.

Kortet är baserat på en layout från Mojo Monday, skiss 137 (2010, 3 maj), men med en egen twist.

Motivet är House Mouse stämpelset Birthday: Ballons. Jag hittar inget namn på den enskilda stämpeln. Alla papper är  från tre ark av Basic Greys kollektion Pyrus. Jag stämplade musen på ett ark av naturfärgat cardstock för att matcha den lite murriga känslan. Knapparna är ett par som jag tagit av gamla klädesplagg. Motivet är utklippt efter en nestabilities die, inte utstansad då jag tycker att ramen är för stor mellan oktagon-diesen. Jag valde istället att, med blyerts, rita de inre kanterna för musen och utsidan för den bruna cardstocken och sedan skära med min skärmaskin. (ett bra tips för att nestabilities med raka linjer, runda går självklart med sax men jag är ganska dålig på sax.)

Egentligen blåser musen ut ett ljus på ett kex med ost, men jag tyckte att motivet blev för stort så jag satte dit bokstäverna för att göra något med musens blåsande. Bokstäverna är utstansade med ett av Double Do’s alfabet och pappret är fortfarande Pyrus.

Presentbox: del 1

Idag skickade jag in mitt examensarbete och har därför börjat göra 3 st presentboxar för att tacka de tre personer som hjälpt mig och sett till att jag faktiskt jobbar.

Den första är till min kära styvfar. Pappren är BoBunnys vinterkollektion Midnight Frost. Jag har fäst 8 st öljetter i varje hörn och trätt bandet igenom dem. Jag satte öljetterna alternerande från fram och baksida så att när man följer bandet så ser man enbart framsidorna. Stämplarna är en textstämpel av okänt märke och musen är självfallet en housemouse. Jag köpte lite godis och la dem sedan i plastpåsar och vek över en bit av samma papper som jag använde till boxen. Etiketterna är svagt distressade med Faded Jeans och utstansade med nestabilities.

Jag såg denna presentbox på Splitcoaststampers youtubesida, kallad treat box. Jag har använt måtten som används i videon, men man kan använda olika kvadrater så länge sidan är delbar med 3 (då man bigar varje sida på en tredjedel och två tredjedelar. Min box var från början en 21x21cm kvadrat och jag har bigat på 7cm och 14 cm på båda sidorna så att mitt papper blev indelat i 3×3 rutor. Sedan bigas hörnen på diagonalen. Sedan tar man tag i hörnen och drar dem in mot mitten. Se ritningen under och bilderna så förstår man nog.

Nya House Mouse stämplar

Äntligen fick jag ett underbart litet paket på posten innehållande mina nya House Mouse stämplar! Dom är så fina att jag blir alldeles till mig! Måste stämpla upp dem direkt och börja färglägga!, vilket innebär att julkorten nog får vänta till imorgon. Enda nackdelen är att jag just insåg att jag har ungefär 3 kvadratcentimeter EZ-mount kvar så det blir nog en tur in till stan så att jag kan montera dem alla. Det får fungera med post-it lim för kvällens lek.

För den som är intresserad så är det Mikaela som säljer dem på tradera , men hon nås även genom sin hemsida och webbutik.

Farfars kort

Under lördagen har jag jobbat med ett födelsedagskort till farfar och idag gjorde jag klart det sista med insidan. Jag är nöjd men ett kortet är hyffsat rent men ändå har en liten twist som mjukar upp med rosetten. Jag tyckte specifikt om den lite rutiga bakgrunden som ger kortet ett lite äldre utseende. Jag hoppas att han kommer att tycka om det.

Jag lyckades tydligen vinkla kameran lite snett så om man ser till den vänstra sidan på bilden så ser men bäst färger och embossingen i pappret. Papprena som är använda kommer från DCWVs The Guy Stack

Jag längtar verkligen till de nya House Mouse-stämplarna från Mikaelas Scarpin (www.mikaelasscrapin.se). Jag kommer då att ha liter fler födelsedagsstämplar och lite mindre än denna. Jag tycker att den här är lite stor, blir jobbigt att färglägga och jag måste använda så stora kort.
